Pippa – The Storykeeper
When the adventure is over, and everyone else has already run off to the next thing, Pippa is usually still sitting with it. Not thinking about what happened – that part’s already pretty clear by then – but wondering something quieter: what does this say about who I’m becoming?
Pippa never rushes to wrap things up neatly, and she doesn’t hand anyone a lesson to take home either. She knows that the things we tell ourselves about our mistakes, our tries and our wobbly little wins have a way of becoming part of who we actually are, so she takes her time and helps make sure the story being told is an honest one, not just a tidy one.
Even when something goes wrong, Pippa doesn’t let it become the whole story. A hard day is still just a day – one small part of something much bigger that’s still being written.
Sometimes Pippa gets so caught up figuring out what everything means that she forgets some moments are allowed to just be moments, without being explained. She’s slowly learning that too.
