Scout has superpowers! 
If there is something to see, he will be the first to see it – the shiny thing in the sand, the shortcut no one else spotted, or the tiny details in the trees that can show them their way when they are lost. His eyes are always moving, and his mind is always alert, pointing out all the details. He simply notices things differently. 
Scout is colourful – on the inside and the outside – and just like his colours, his energy is vibrant and unpredictable. Where others only see rocks, Scout immediately notices that the rocks across the creek provide a pathway to the other side. The others may see the birds flying overhead and pay little attention; however, Scout notices the way in which they are flying is alerting everyone to approaching danger. One of Scout’s really big super-powers is that he points out things, as opposed to deciding, and sometimes that’s the best way out of a tricky situation. 
While others may think that Scout flits from one thing to the next, when they really get to know him, they will figure out that he can see all the small details that no one else notices. He pays attention to the important things when everyone else has moved on… and often that leads to the biggest revelations!
