At eight years old, Wren offers a little more insight into situations. She notices things that others don’t – things like the way Kip gets louder when he is about to do something brave or the way the wind picks up just before it’s about to rain. 


She helps show that things that were scary yesterday may not seem so scary today. And that is because, although she doesn’t have all the answers, she still asks the relevant question, like ‘What do we notice now that we didn’t notice then?”


 Wren notices the patterns in things, and she helps the group to start to understand by exploring their experiences just that little bit further. While some of the others may leap into action, Wren pauses to consider what is happening, allowing the next step to be explored. 


Sometimes Wren has big emotions that she isn’t quite sure what to do with yet, but she knows the questions to get just one step closer to understanding them.
